Looking for someone to come troubleshoot/fix a problem I have with my Intellistart on my '72 Camaro. Car starts just fine with the remote start function w/ the remote. Problem is the car wont crank over with the key. When in the crank position the interior lights dim and the amperage meter drops but doesn't crank. The ignition switch was replaced with a new unit, but the problem still persists. Happy to pay for some one to come out and sort it out. I live in the Laurel Canyon area of Los Angeles. Please PM me if interested. Thanks.

Does this unit have a starter cut? If so by-pass it.
There was a batch of G5 product where the internal starter cut relays failed about 3 years ago.

Its a G4 unit I believe. But I did try putting it in valet mode, however that didn't help. So your saying the relay in the actual alarm unit fails (opened)?
How should I bypass it? By removing the alarm wiring going to the ignition/starter?
Thanks for the help as Im about to open up the dash and start digging.

Thanks! It was the relay in the G4 module that had failed. I just removed it from the circuit and soldered the RED / white wires together. Finally the car starts and cranks from the keyed ignition. Thanks again for the insight!
