Hi everyone, first crack at installing a RS on an '05 Civic (manual transmission).
I can't get the car into Ready Mode. I tried the process using the remote (depress brake pedal, pull the parking brake, let go of brake and hold remote button). Parking lights are supposed to flash 3 times, doesn't happen. I entered the programming mode and changed to ready mode enabled by handbrake (apply the parking brake twice within ten seconds). Again, parking lights don't flash and when I turn the car off, engine dies.
Lock/Unlock works, so I know the RS is getting power.
Here's what I have wired up:
6-pin harness:
Yellow(Ignition) -> BLACK / YELLOW (center plug @ top of dash fuse box)
Red(+12V(Battery) (x2) -> White (center plug @ top of dash fuse box)
Orange(Accessories) -> BLACK/ Red (center plug @ top of dash fuse box)
Purple(Starter) -> BLACK/ White (center plug @ top of dash fuse box)
Green(5th relay) -> WHITE/ Red (center plug @ top of dash fuse box)
All wires see 12V when the key is in said position, and I moved the 5th relay jumper to Accessories 2
5-pin harness:
Black(Ground) -> Chassis ground (ring connector around bolt)
Purple(Tach) -> Blue (Plug 'J' dash fuse box)
Gray(Hood Switch) -> Hood switch (doesn't show ground w/ hood closed)
Orange(Brake Switch) -> WHITE/ Black (@ brake switch)
Yellow(Parking Lights) -> RED / Yellow (@ Plug 'P' dash fuse box)
Ground is good, hood switch is doing what it's supposed to, orange wire sees 12v when the brake is pressed, didn't test yellow as parking lights flash to confirm lock/unlock. Am I okay using this tach wire, or should I use the connector @ battery?
12-pin harness:
Grey(Neg. Door Input) -> Green(@ Plug 'Q' dash fuse box)
Orange(Parking Brakes Input) -> GREEN/ Orange(@ Plug 'Q' dash fuse box)
Green(Unlock output) -> WHITE/ Green (@ drivers kick panel)
Brown(Lock output) -> WHITE/ Blue (@ drivers kick panel)
I only used one door trigger, do I need to connect all 4 with diodes? Parking brake shows ground @ Orange wire, lock/unlock are both working
The iDatalink is hooked up with D2D (4-pin connect on bypass and red 4-pin connector to the xpresskit bypass on RS unit). I also have it wired up as follows:
Pink(Ignition + Input) -> Yellow/Black (7-pin green plug @ key)
Gray/Red(Data) -> RED / Blue (7-pin green plug @ key)
WHITE/ Black(Security Light input) -> key side pin#5 @ green plug)
WHITE/ Red(Security Light output) -> non-key side pin#5 @ green plug)
I programmed the iDatalink in data mode.
Any thoughts on what I could be missing? Do I need to hook up the ext. trigger to the keysense wire? Am I connected to the wrong wires for brake lights or parking brake? Door trigger hooked up incorrectly?

Turns out I hadn't learned the tach yet.
New issue, car goes into ready mode successfully. When I try to remote start the vehicle, lights flash 3 times meaning the parking brake is active or the yellow loop is connected (automatic transmissions only). Again, it's a manual transmission, yellow loop hasn't been cut on RS unit. Thoughts?

Problem solved. I sat in the car with the clutch pressed and tried to remote start, worked. Used a relay to connect the two wires on the top clutch switch (I think the bottom is for cruise) using the neg. ignition output on the RS.
Been swell chatting with myself.
