2000 Tacoma 2.7 Prerunner single cab. I installed a keyless entry for my truck which had only manual locks. Everything is good except the horn output doesn't seem to work. I checked horn output on the system wire and it is positive, I tested horn wire and when I touched it with my tester the horn sounds and I wasnt pressing the horn. I connected the system output to that horn wire but the horn wont sound when I lock the doors remotely. Is there another wire I should look for? Thank in advance, any input is much appreciated.

Here is the horn wire info from Bulldog Security :
HORN GREEN/ RED (-)   @ STEERING COLUMN HARNESS
You didn't mention the Brand or Model or your RKE system, but if it has a (+) Horn Output wire, you would need to use a relay
to convert this output signal to the (-) signal this vehicle wire needs. If you were using an old school incandescent test
light to check for this wire & had the test light connected to chassis ground and the horn beeped when probed, then you found
the (-) Horn wire. Here is the 30/40 Amp SPDT relay wiring :
Relay Pin 86 to RKE (+) Horn Output
Relay Pin 30 and 85 to Chassis Ground
Relay Pin 87 to vehicle Horn wire GREEN/ RED (-) @ STEERING COLUMN HARNESS
Relay Pin 87a not used - insulate
Soldering is fun!

I forgot to add that the keyless entry with actuators is from EBAY and cost $20. It works well and good quality generic(no name). The horn output is + and the horn wire is -. I am new to wiring but makes complete sense now. I bought the relay and harness and will do the wiring when it arrives. I will post results.
