Hi, new member looking for some help after purchasing an HC2352AC after a friend's recommendation, and finding positive reviews on this site.
I'm installing this in a 2006 Ford Explorer via hardwire. I've done some car stereos, alarms, and aux kits in the distant past, but this is my first remote start installation. I'm an engineer and DIY guy so I wanted to tackle this one as a Christmas present to my wife ;)
First question is regarding the M2 connector that has a wire (#06, blue/white+black dot) going to the parking light switch. The guide shows a WHITE/ purple wire from pin 09 in the gray connector on the switch, which was easily found. However, it also shows a relay and a diode (to be added, I presume) going to pin 85. I'm unsure where to splice with the diode. It also indicates a cut between relay pin 87A and pin 30, which connects to the gray light connector at pin 04. Where is this relay?
Second question concerns the M1 connector, #06 white wire for the parking light. The guide indicates a connection to the blue/white wire "behind e-brake pedal, near firewall." Does anyone know if this is buried in a covered harness or otherwise hidden? Thus far I have been unable to locate it and don't know if it is on the side of the vehicle, or the firewall, or if the e-brake assembly should be removed for access.
Thanks in advance for any guidance!

bump...does anyone know where the auto light relay is located, and which harness the parking light wire might be hiding in?
