I am installing a Compustar, 1 way remote start in a 2016 Kia Sorento. All of the wiring matches the Firstech data sheet, including the pinouts. However, the lock commamd works, but the unlock does not. I hear a relay on pass side fire, but it is not unlock. Im in the 46 pin plug, pin 14, WHITE/ black for lock, and pin 15, blue/orange unlock. Both are supposed to be - pulse. This vehicle does not unlock with oem remote with ignition on, and I wonder if this has something to do with the remote start unlock not working. It does not work with Compustar remote to unlock at all.
Is there another wire I need to tap? Or being this vehicle was built in 5/15, do I have the wrong wires? I matched up the ignition, brake, Park lights, and tach, find it hard to believe only the lock/unlock would be wrong!
Does anyone have any experience with this issue?
Thank You,

Sorry I can't help verifying the wire colors. I usually use an ads-alca on those trucks.
POWER LOCK     WHITE/ BLACK (-) use passenger door switch to test     dash fuse box, black 46 pin plug (D), pin 14
POWER UNLOCK     BLUE/ORANGE (-) use passenger door switch to test     dash fuse box, black 46 pin plug (D), pin 15
Are you sure you have the correct unlock wire ?
The other issue I have with those is the disarm is inside the driver's door if I remember correctly. That's why I use the bypass module.

Hi chev104275, thanks fot the reply. Yes I have the same blie/orange wire you refered to above! I have not tried making connections at the pass door. The factory disarm is disabled with the ignition, and no wires were given for that. I was goung to use the blade bypass module, but there is no data, or cann+- wires in the kick panel, which is where they were supposed to be if applicable.
Anything else you or anyone else can think of would be appreciated!
Thanks again

All the ones I've done using an ads al CA with the DLHK5 firmware. There is can hi (red) and can low (blue) in the driver's kick panel they are in a black 68 pin connector top of the kick panel.
I always do a full keyless and remote start systems because the Kia remote doesn't work while the truck is running under remote start.
Also I've yet to see one with a transponder key. So no need to look for the data wire in the DKP.

Thanks again for the reply. Due to the missing data wire, I assumed I didnt need the blade bypass. After your commemt, I will try it for the locks, without the data hookup!
Thank you for the help!
