Avital 4103 RS, 2004 Silverado

Going to be installing a Avital 4103 into a 2004 silverado. I have done this same RS on a sequoia and dakota with good luck, seems to be a nice simple, reliable RS. My question is do I need to wire the second ACC wire via a relay? I know I need to make sure the 2nd igntion wire is used/active and to verify the 4103 is in the correct mode to do so. Almost eveyrthing I read did not mention a 2nd ACC wire being needed, but this: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=137674 says I do need it wired via relay. Not a huge deal, just don't have a relay on hand and need to know if its required. Not totally sure what is even ran off the 2nd ACC in the truck anyway. Thanks!

It might even change with the model year like the Trailblazers' Brown ACC2 wire does. Typically, it is just circuits like Windshield Wipers, Power Windows, Radio, etc. Being as it is your personal vehicle, you can spend the time to try it without the ACC2 connection if you wish. It won't hurt anything and if you find it needed, you can always add it later. For me doing installs commercially, I don't have that opportunity so I err on the side of caution and duplicate a normal key start sequence by powering all the ignition wires. You can find these 30/40 Amp SPDT relays with 5 pin harnesses online for under $10 for a 5 pack. You should also use an inline fuse for circuit protection.Soldering is fun!
