My factory alarm is randomly going off- seems to happen more in cold weather. Anyone have a diagnostic method? I was considering disabling sensors one at a time and see if problem is eliminated- problem is- I have no ideal where alarm is housed, where sensors or if disabling alarm/sensors will disable ignition.
FYI- I already replaced batteries in smart keys and tried disabling them by leaving without batteries all together.
Also- I have a sneaking suspicion it may be power liftgate related. Liftgate open light flashed on/off a few times last week while driving(It was closed and locked)
Thanks in advance for any help.

The alarm is not affected by the condition of the batteries in the fobs
However, a marginal car battery can often cause wierd and random electronic issues and cold weather will make them worse.
Are you still on the original battery? If so, you might consider changing it as it is overdue.

check your door pins. I have had from time to time Nissans with bad door pins come in for the same reason. I owned a 03 xterra that I had to change both the front door pins for the same thing. kinda a know issues along with the knock sensors going out in nissans
