Hi, I have a Viper 3105v alarm in an extended length van and learned it would take 2 508D proximity sensors to protect the van and wheelchair that hangs outside the rear door. My brain has a 4 pin socket for 1 sensor and I realize I may have to detach the red and black wires from the sensors and move to brain harness 12v+ and GWA respectively. I am unsure how to wire both sets of green and blue wires to brain so called an alarm shop to install them but was told it can't be done because "2 prox. sensors will cancel each other out".
That doesn't sound right to me. I plan to fuse both blue and green wires from 1 sensor into brain socket blue and fuse the blue and green wires from the other sensor into brain socket green.
Will 2 prox. sensors "cancel" each other and if not does my "diodeless" wiring sound right?
Thanks in advance.

Just parallel connect all the sensor wires of the same colour to the "brain".

that makes sense to me. May I ask if you are fairly sure of this or does it just seem intuitive?
Thanks

I am very sure. The device has open drain outputs that can be "wire-or'd" without any issue.

That's how I will wire it then. I think this gets confusing (to me) because apparently "the brain" was modified over the years to allow 1 wire to mux 2 signals with no change in pin or connector design leading to conflicting online info.
Lastly do you advise cutting red and black at the 1 sensor to brain connector and relocating to 12v+ and GWA on the brain harness to better handle sensor(s) load? And in any case are diodes needed.
Thank you much

The sensor load is minimal so its not necessary to provide bigger supply conductors. Diodes aren't required.

Thanks eguru,
I will be making a separate post concerning this next question but in the hopes you may be notified of it because of this post ask for your help here. I went to a well recommended alarm shop today and had them install the Viper 3105v in my 2001 Dodge Ram Van. Im going to add my own prox. sensors later. Install was minimal- no door locks and starter kill relay left out at my request. When shop was through I went to see if alarm worked which it did. I started my van to leave with the following new problems my van did not have going into the shop -"ABS" and 'AIR BAG" dash warning lights stay on, A/C compressor does not engage and (after market) back up warning beeper does not come on. They rechecked the install (took 5 minutes) and not surprisingly shop manager said everything they did "looked right" and that for all they know I had those problems coming in to them. Would you have any idea what could have gone wrong? The manager did say if the "super excellent" auto electronics shop 2 bays down diagnosed a problem that his alarm install caused they would fix it. I did stop by that shop and passed on a $180 diagnosis- fool me twice shame on me.
