Hello,
I bought an illuminated door scuff plate sill and I try to install it by connecting it to the wires near the door.
Can you please tell me what colors need the wire to be?
I need it to stay on only when the dome lamp is on.
Sorry for my English
I hope u understood and u will be able to help me
Thanks

Basically, if your vehicle has negative door triggers, then connect the positive lead of the door sills to a constant 12V+ and the negative lead of the sills to the negative door trigger. If your vehicle has positive door triggers, connect the negative lead of the door sills to ground and the positive lead of the door sills to the positive door trigger. However, you may need a relay to do this properly/safely depending on the current draw of the door sills and the vehicle.
What year, make, and model vehicle?
