It isn't equipped with a factory alarm so how do i know what bypass i need and can i get a wiring diagram thanks

Which brand of remote start or alarm are you installing?
That would determine best bypass to use.

Your truck probably does not hace a transponder based engine immobilizer. Some
were equipped with this system but I have never seen one in the U.S.. Most bypass
module manufacturers don't even list a solution for that year truck. All that being
said, it would be prudent to verify this yourself. There are several ways.
The best would be to remove the steering column covers and look for the antenna
ring at the end of the ignition switch and a 5 to 7 pin connector with thin
gauge wires on the ignition switch itself. Another test would be the foil wrap
test. Take a strip of aluminum foil abot 2 inches wide and wrap the ignition
key head with 5 layers of foil, enclosing the entire area. Then use that key
to start the truck. If it starts and runs, you don't have a chip in your key
or the immobilizer system. Another easy test would be to get a copy of your
ignition key made at a local hardware store for $1.99 and try that non-chipped
key to run the truck.
