Hoping someone can help...
I have vent windows that are operated using caravan motors. Basic 12v motors operated by a "forward/off/reverse" switch.
Is there a way, to have the windows close automatically, once the ignition is turned off?
These motors don't have any way to monitor travel. I was hoping to be able to do it by simply timing, 3-5 seconds once ignition is turned off. And in the case of them already being closed, a turn-off when a load is detected..
Anyone??

Auto Closure of Vent Windows -- posted image.
I'm sure there's a better way to do this, and it still requires a window module (DEI 529T/530T/535T) or a timed relay.
C1 must have a higher value than C2. C1 can be 220uF and C2 can be 100uF. Make sure they're rated 16 volts or higher.

Hello,
THANK YOU for posting that. Now my next question; If what you posted looks like hieroglyphics, how do I proceed? LOL?
It's worth $50-$100 to find someone who can guide me..

Sorry. If you Google something like "Bosch automotive relay" and look at the image results, you'll see the terminal configuration and it should make more sense.
Also check out the relay section of this site for a working explanation on relays.
The triangles with the lines at the end are known as diodes and the line signifies the negative side.
I've never used one of those in the link.

Thank You again...
I have a specific question for you. I remember back in the day, car installers who wanted 12v at ignition turn off, would wire a SPDT relay with the ground side being wired to an accessory on wire. So when the ignition is turned off, that accessory wire turns into a ground, and powers the relay.
Is that correct?
Here's the plan if the above is acceptable...

Yes that's actually a simpler version of my diagram and would work.
The reason I added the two other relays was so the output would only be activated if the key was first turned to the ignition position.
Say you already had the windows down and wanted to wait in the car for the wife, girlfriend, etc. If you used the one relay diagram and just turn the key to the accessory position so you can listen to the radio, the windows all roll up. But you wanted them to stay down.
That's really the only thing difference. Just so you don't get annoyed by having to roll them back down.
If you have more questions I'll respond later. The fights are starting soon.

Really appreciate it...
Just to be clear, using an accessory lead, as the ground for the timed relay I'm going to use, is acceptable?
Thank You again in advance...

No. Sorry, after again reading your above post, I realize my mistake. I thought you were asking about using accessory for power, and ignition for ground of a relay's coil.
While yes, the accessory wire will rest at ground, it will be a constant ground and that relay will stay energized, draining the battery.
You're better off using ignition for ground and accessory for power to control a relay. Put a diode inline as well with the striped side facing the ground wire.

Thanks for pointing that out....
"accessory for power to control a relay"
If I do that, accessory only comes on with key-switch. I need it to come on, when the key switches off...
How is that done?
