Having issue with a 5906X in a '73 Camaro, manual transmission of course.
Per the owners manual, pages 42-43, perform MTS mode sequence.
Steps 1 to 6, no problem. Step 7 vehicle flashes parking lights 5 times,
'remote start not available' on 2 way remote, doors then lock.
Have only had successful operation (steps 1-7) 3 times out of over 4 dozen attempts.
If I'm reading the manual correct, the 5 flashes is the brake input active?
Have isolated wiring at brake switch output...3 wires; 1 remote start 2 turn signal switch input 3 lockout solenoid.
Have also left brake input disconnected, triggering with a jumper wire. Same results.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Have you metered the brake input wire at the Clifford connector? Is there any voltage at all? Those wires are tiny. Is it possible that it's pinched? You might try using a safety pin to remove it from the harness.

11.5 volts not running, 13.8 volts running...pedal depressed. 0 volts not depressed. Measured at module, Backprobed. Operation of park/tail lights does not show any spikes or backfeed.

Sounds like you've done your due diligence and it's probably an internal fault.

Was thinking along the same lines. Going to make a few calls tomorrow, see if I can get more info as to possible causes.
Thanks for the input.

It appears that if the ignition triggered dome light is enabled and connected, the issue occurs. Turned off that option, all seems well.
