For those of you that use the FT-DAS, have you ever had to replace any of them? Wondering about the overall reliability of them.
I ask, because a few years ago I had a CM7000 + Blade-AL installed in a 2007 Honda Accord 5-spd. One day it just stopped setting reservation mode and I could no longer remote start the car Error 07. I brought it back to installer and he said that the DAS was bad and replaced it. I had no problems for awhile.
Once again it started happening again and before I could get it checked, I was having some other work done on my car which required disconnecting the battery. After the battery was reconnected, I noticed that I could remote start once again.
This lasted for awhile until recently when my battery got low. Low enough to not start the car but not totally dead. I charged the battery up and have not been able to remote start since. I tried pulling the battery reconnecting with no luck. I've reset the brain and the blade and reconfigured and re-paired my remotes, nothing.
I've also updated the Blade-AL from HA-1 1.3 to 1.6 and the CM7000 from 3.00 to 3.51. Went through and set the option values appropriately to Enter reservation mode when pulling the e-brake, and have it programmed to set reservation mode 10 seconds after the last door is closed or lock. Still does the same thing.
If I take the key out and get out of the car, close the door, it stays running for about 5-7 seconds, shuts off, does not lock the doors and does not set reservation mode.
If I take the key out and close the door, and lock it, it locks and shuts the car off immediately (which is not normal, when it was working before, it would usually be a 1-2 second delay, hear the doors lock and then the car would shut down). Doing it this way, I get the engine icon on my remote as though it thinks reservation mode is set, but I still wind up getting error 07.
Any ideas? Does feedback from the DAS factor into setting reservation mode? Or is it strictly a safety feature to prevent the car from moving if it is remote started? It seems like the DAS works, it lights up and my shock sensors do function, but it seems like the thing is bad as the problems I'm having are the same as before. I've tried everything I could think of. I'll bring it back to the place that did it, it's just a pain to find the time to do it.
Thanks in advance!

I posted a question before but cannot delete the thread. I've answered my question and figured out what was wrong and why I couldn't remote start my car. Another bad FT-DAS.
It didn't totally die, it still powered up and the shock portion of it was working, but no matter what I did, I could not get reservation mode to set. That's twice this has happened. 1st time it was replaced under warranty by the shop that installed it, this 2nd time I just fixed it myself.
I've since updated my firmware on my CM7000 and installed the new FT-DAS-II and now I'm back in business. However having 2 FT-DAS fail within a couple years makes me wonder.
Have you installers found these pieces to be unreliable? It's cheap enough to where I don't care all that much, just curious if this is something you guys have seen before.
