Hello all,
I have a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan GT that has factory remote start. I'd like to know what I need to add a cellular phone starter. I do have an older cell start system from my previous car - a 2013 Ford Escape. It's a Directed DSM250 with a DBALL module. I had this connected using an OBD-II splitter cable so it was easy to remove.
I'd like to do similar for the Dodge but the DSM250 locks me in to a GPS plan which costs more and I don't really need that, I just want to lock/unlock/start the vehicle with long range and without having to carry an extra remote.
What should I be looking for to accomplish this? Does anyone sell a plug and play kit that I can install myself and then activate the cellular service?

Search for a GSM controller. I've never used one before, and it's probably a little more involved than plug-and-play, but it may meet your needs.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

you can do a idatlink alca and do RSR and the compsutar drone mobile and do just the basic package (arm/disarm/RS) for $72 a year (no gps) or add gps on for $144 a year. Just have usse the accessory that it list on the manual, mostly plug n play.

You can to the samthing with viper and a dball3 and smart start module (vsm450). One year of just basic service is $69 or add on gps $99 a year
both are 4g cell connection and when you hit the lock/unlock button its almost instantaneous. Both premium services add on extra thing
33 years as a installer now just a retired old guy. Favorite thing to install/topic are remote starts/car alarms. Stop using test lights!!!
