Hey folks,
I am attempting to install folding mirrors on VW Golf Mk3. I believe they never came from the factory. I have bought mirrors from the other car. I know few people added them in their cars unfortunately they didn't share wiring diagrams. As far as I know those mirrors were controlled by power windows control module in that car. However, I would like to wire mirrors without original power window controllers just using probably few relays and mirror switch or whatever you recommend me. I wanna get my mirrors folding in when I press the button and out when I press again the same button. I will attach a scheme of button and mirror itself. I need some help please. I am not familiar with folding mirrors but can help you with your design. I would need to know if the contact switch is closed or open at the end of travel. Does the switch get activated when fully folded as well as fully open?

Today I inspected inside of the mirror and here is what I found. There's a contact switch with a 'nipple' on top. It is being pressed in only when the mirror completely folds out which means the contact switch is closed and activated. The contact switch is open all the way to the 'folded in' mirror position. Also contact switch doesnt activate when the mirror is fully folded in. I will attach the picture with an open switch when the mirror is fully folded in.Power Folding Mirrors, VW Golf MK3 -- posted image.
