Hi. I purchased an Excalibur al 1870 remote start with idatalink ads al ca bypass. I am having an issue of it not starting. I verified the clutch wire(red/yellow) reads 12 volts and ground when the clutch is depressed. When I activate the rs, the bypass flashes 3 times. However it does not start. Please help. Tia.

is it even designed to work with a manual transmission? I've never heard of this brand but looks like a firsttech made RS which firsttech has come out against support on manual transmissions. Only DEI (viper) truly support manual transmission. It can still be done with a relay and the second starter output wire but then you have a run away train if left into gear or you leave the window done and someone reaches in and sticks it in gear. Before you say " i never leave the car in gear" (heard 1000 times) it only takes once. That would be a big pass for me, not a fan of RS in manual transmissions.
33 years as a installer now just a retired old guy. Favorite thing to install/topic are remote starts/car alarms. Stop using test lights!!!
