I received a Viper 5706V for Christmas to install in my 2005 F250 with a 6.0 Powerstroke diesel and automatic transmission. The truck has factory keyless entry, does not have any factory security, and does not have PATS. I'm looking over the install guide and the descriptions of the wiring is confusing to me. I do not have problem doing automotive wiring as I am a mechanic but I've only installed one remote start before but not a security system. Would anyone be able to help me know what extra wiring can be removed from the harnesses and where they should be connected? I would take this to a shop to have it done but I would rather do the wiring myself and know its a clean install with good connections the first time.

I found a template that looks like it should work for me. Will have to check to make sure they wiring colors matches up. I attached an image of the template. The red lines are the wires that I believe can be done away with. Is there anything else I can do away with or something that should be hooked up?Viper 5706V, 2005 Ford F-250 -- posted image.
