Hi guys. I'm new to installing anything other than a sound system and mechanical things in my vehicle (under the hood). I drive a 1999 oldsmobile eighty-eight and with that being said I tried to tackle this remote start cause I was told it was as simple as a car stereo install and it is once you know where to make your connections. However which wires need to be connected for my vehicle are my issue. I tried to go as foolproof as possible and purchase a self learning module (no resistor, diodes or, relays needed for use in my car) I made sure of that and my auto start can be programmed manually. My questions today are: Once I've connected the auto start there seems to be some connections from the bypass that go to some of the same wires I used to connect the auto start (Ignition, accessory, 12volt and starter). Do I have to make more connections to those same wires or can I use the corresponding wires on the autostart that are already connected. Basically can I tap in to the auto start wires instead. Also I mentioned I drive and 1999 oldsmobile eighty-eight. 96 through 99 are the same. (only 40,000 miles by the way) and as I looked up wire locations for my vehicle on here I notice no pics and vague descriptions for some of of them. For instance my bcm is called a ccci an it's on the passenger side but there are like 3 or 4 modules there. Which one is the ccci/bcm and also my drivers side kick panel has a lot of wires I need to get to but where do I start. The cars older and i dont want to break or tear up anything if it's not necessary. Anyone have pics or a video. Please dont say lesabre's, 98's etc are the same wiring maybe but how to get there seems different
