I am trying to install a Clifford window module in my '84 Porsche 911. It gives me three different types of trigger types; positive trigger rest at ground, negative trigger rest at +12v, and positive trigger, rest at neutral. The up switch shows +12v at rest, 0v when the window is going up. This would be a negative trigger rest at +12v, correct? If so, here is my concern. The wiring schematic shows that a relay must be used, 30 to switch power, 86 & 87 to power source, and 85 and 87a to ground. Isn't 87 and 87a connected? If so, won't 87a ground out 87 and blow a fuse?

Have you figured it out? Yea, it looks like it rests at 12v+, and uses a negative trigger. I'm not sure about your relay question, though.

No still haven't figured it out. May have to call Clifford. I am pretty sure on the trigger type; its the relay issue that has me baffled.

Well, I would double check the wires, just to make sure that you're getting the same readings, and then I would try what the diagram says. I doubt they would have the incorrect relay setup in their manual. But I realize if you're not comfortable with it, you don't want to blow anything up Need help determining trigger type -- posted image.

I guess the worst that would happen would be to blow a window fuze.
