I have recently installed a DEI Rattler 300 alarm system in my '93 Chevrolet truck. Everything works - except that I can not arm the system with the ignition on, all the other triggers will set the bypass function properly.
Does the Rattler allow the ignition bypass function?
If so, how do I get it to work?

Darn, I have an older DEI Python 1000 in another car and it does allow this. The two models seemed so similar that I was surprised when it did not work.
It is a good feature to have, start the car in winter,
set the alarm and go back in the house for a cup of coffee while the windows defrost.
Thank you.

I know what you mean, pretty much all the vipers and pythons have that feature, but not the rattler.
