alarm sounds when plugged up

I have an american accessories alarm with keyless entry.  its not a name brand alarm, but it has all the essentials.  i put it in my 88 camaro and i am pretty sure i wired everything up right.  i even hooked up the a 3 wire positive trigger and a starter disable relay.  when i plug the module up, the alarm sounds continuously and the parking lights flash (as if the alarm had been set off) does anyone have any suggestions?

Some alarms do that when u first install it, what u gotta do is turn it off, this is usually done by putting the key, setting the ignition to ON, and pressing and holding the valet override button for 5-10 secs til it goes off... That should do it.

okay, thank you!!!   that worked, and i programmed my transmitter.  the car arms and disarms fine.  the panic button works.  the doors do not lock or unlock and the trunk will not open with the transmitter.  Now what is wrong?

make sure u've got ur trunk pop output wire or aux output wire from ur alarm going to the black wire in the driver's kick...make sure u test that wire 1st...if ur using an aux output that does not have it's own button on ur remote, try holding the button (that does not trigger panic mode) down for a few secs see if it pops ur trunk then. As for the door locks, just make sure u got it rigged up right with the relays...check and double and triple check... Try http://www.relayapps.com for diagrams.
