Howdy all:

I have remote keyless entry module stock.  I am trying to put on an add on alarm.

From the  6 wire harness on the alarm brain: 

Pink wire +12 arms the unit (Blue pass through)

Gray wire +12 disarms the unit (Green pass through)

White wire: lock override

Brown wire: unlock override

I have found the relays that the RKE uses, but I am really stuck on what wires to connect where.  I have the door panels off on the front and back doors (passenger sides).  I have found the wires for the locks.  The instruction book talks about negative door triggers, etc. 

On my truck, the doors have the following in common:

Pink/Black & Pink/Orange going to the door lock motors.

All I want to know is how to hook up the 6 wire harness.

*1 Non-keyless versions are 5 wire located in the drivers door harness. Keyless versions are negative trigger located in a gray molex plug to the right side of the steering column *2 Located in a gray molex plug to the right side of the steering column. *4 PCM is located on the left side of fire wall. *5 There are two RED / black wires at the ignition harness, use the heavier gauge wire of the two.

Thanks for the post.  OK, so I know this is really stupid, but based upon the color scheme I provided for the alarm brain, what wires connect to what?

from what i understand, arm wire goes to pink/black(lock) and the gray goes to RED / orange(unlock) on driver side and the unlock override goes to pink/org passn side override lock- am not sure what this is for. the unlock have two wires cause some stock keyless have progressive unlocks. pressin one disarm the driver and 2nd other doors

The unit is an AL-100C.  Yes, the truck has a keyless entry that pressing once unlocks the driver door, pressing a 2nd time unlocks the rest of the doors.  I know my problem is that I really do not understand what the "brain" is doing or supposed to be doing with the pass through wires and the WHITE/ brown wires.

can you be more specific on those wires. is there a installation manual of that on the net?

Hi again.  Thanks for the reference, just printed it and I will read through.  Here are answers to your questions and some things I learned last night.  I was up till about 2 am checking wires.   The alarm is a CrimeGuard AL-100C, from Omega. 

I have located the leads from my RKE module to the door lock RELAY unit.  There is one relay each for the DRIVER DOOR UNLOCK, REST OF THE DOORS UNLOCK and LOCK ALL.  I have located each lead from the RKE module to the relays and they check +12VDC when the remote is pressed accordingly.  Now, the driver door unlocks first and a second press on the remote will unlock the rest of the doors.  Not sure how this works, but that is what FORD did and from reading, I think others have a similar UNLOCK feature.  In any case, I think I will wire the DISARM feature of the alarm brain to this wire and NOT the UNLOCK ALL.

OK, to answer your question on the wiring from the alarm brain:  There is a 6 wire harness per below (from instruction manual)

Pink Wire :  A +12VDC on this wire will ARM the system.

Blue Wire: Pass through connected to the Pink wire and diode isolated.  Tells me current only flows one way so one may cut exiting wiring and re-route through the alarm brain using these 2 wires (Pink and Blue)

Gray Wire:  A +12VDC on this wire will DISARM the system.

Green Wire:  Pass through connected to the Gray wire and diode isolated.  Tells me the same thing as the Pink/Blue Combo except for DISARM.

White Wire:  Lock Override

Brown Wire: Unlock Override

Quoting from the book "...any change in the electrical state of these wires (brown and white) while the Pink and Gray wires receive a Positive pulse will cause the AL100c NOT to arm/disarm.  The White and Brown wires have the capability of learning polarity and must be connected when the AL-100C is first supplied Power and Ground.  If not needed, then the White and Brown wires should be grounded."

What I am thinking of doing is hooking up the Pink/Blue combo to the wire from my RKE to the LOCK ALL Relay.  I get a +12VDC across #85 and #86 when the remote is pressed so current should flow through the alarm brain at this time.

Then connect the Gray/Green Combo to the wire from my RKE leading to the DRIVER UNLOCK Relay.  I get the same voltage when the remote is pressed.

am not so clear on the pink and green wire but here i go
ground the white and brown
blue and pink is the same wire but blue needs to be isolate with a diode. same goes for the green and gray, green need to have a diode.
it sounds right to what youre thinking
test it and post your result

The manual says the Pink/Blue are diode isolated inside the unit.  Same goes for the Gray/Green.  The unit should work the way I am thinking.  I will test the wires once more before I cut them and I will connect the 2 color combos above to a current and double check the diode....

I will let you know tomorrow.
