Hey guys,

I have a 1989 Ford Taurus SHO W/Keyless Entry. I recently installed a Clifford Intelliguard 800IQ in my car and at first it didnt work right. When i armed it did the 2 beeps, the 4 beeps 5 seconds later (to show that a door is open). This was probably because of the factory delayed interior lights. So i went of the clifford website and i got the "installer wiring diagram" for it and turned on "Delayed Lighting Compensation" with my valet switch. All was good, i armed and it would beep twice and be done (to show that everything is A-OK). However, when the interior lights are still on (from the delayed lighting) and i arm.. when they shut off it triggers my alarm, is there any way to fix this or is it just something i will have to deal with? I did some checking and i cannot disable the delayed lighting it is tied into my keyless entry module (the timer is on the circuit board itself). Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

Mike

Hmmmm....I know my friend's alarm has a set of switches inside the case. One of the switches is to turn on or off the "voltage sensing circuit", which I think detects things like lights turning on, and stuff like that. Maybe if you have a similar setting on the clifford, you can disable it?
