I bought my car (97 Accord) with an Alpine SEC-8028 installed. I changed the burnt 5A fuse with a new 5A fuse, suddently the brain is fried. The fuse is connected between the car's hood fusebox to the brain. Can anyone tell me what did I do wrong?

Thanks

it doesnt sound like you did anything wrong. check all the wires and make sure they are hooked up right.

How do you know the brain is fried??  If it is I would pull the alarm out and install a new one.  Trying to troubleshoot old alarms and their installs is a pain, especially alpine.  I wouldnt even mess with it.
