Hi, I will be installing a Hornet 553T Remote Start Alarm in a 2003 Civic 2Dr LX w/ ATX. What additional parts will I need?

- Immobilizer Bypass (DEI part# 555I or 555U)

- 30 amp Relay for starter kill

- Don't need any Relay(s) for power locks because Civic has Type B power locks, right?

- Did I forget anything?

--------------------------------------------

Also, where is the Park/Neutral  switch located?

How do I remove the steering column cover? I removed the 3 philips screws in the bottom half, but I couldn't separate the bottom from the top.

-Thanks for your help

you have everything / when you are going to install the starter kill you need to do it after the fuse block or it can trigger your check engine light / after you take the screws out of the column it is just clips that hold it together / you dont need the park/neutral wire just ground the black white wire because the car will not start unless it is in park or neutral

Ok, I finally received my alarm, but there are a couple of things I don't understand.

What do I do with the "toggle (override) switch" (one with no prewired plug)? Do I even need it? The system already has a plugin valet/program switch.

Few more questions about wiring:

Primary Harness H1

H1/1 Orange --> This goes to 85 of my starter kill relay right?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Secondary Harness H2

H2/2 Light GREEN/ Black --> Does this need to be connected, if so where? My car does not have keyless entry. The instructions say this wire can be hooked up to a relay to pulse the disarm wire of the factory anti-theft device. Does this apply to me?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Relay Satellite Key Switch Interface

Purple wire is to be connected to the starter, but do I connect it after my starter kill relay or before it. I'm assumming after it like this:

ign harness ---87a---|       |---30--- Purple  --- to starter

                              starter kill relay

H1/9 Yellow ____86__|      |__85___ H1/1 Orange

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remote Start Secondary Harness (H3)

H3/1 Blue --> Does it need to be connected? Instructions say it can be used with a relay to rearm factory anti-theft system.

H3/2 Blue/Black --> I'm using a CrimeStopper model #PKH3 Immobilizer bypass module. The instrution sheet that came with it says that the brown wire (from PKH3) has to be connect to "Ground output when running from remote starter". Do I connect H3/2 Blue/Black to this wire?

-Thanks again
