2 more 554t questions

ok...we finally got this thing going in my 03 and working fine....got two questions tho

1. the trasponder lcd always shows the alarm icon....the manual states that this icon comes ON when a full alarm condition is met.....mine is always on...is that supposed to be like that??

2. i have the double gaurd shock sensor, and it only goes to full alarm....on an impact, it gives a few short chirps then goes to the full alarm (similar to what the progressive door trigger does).  I looked under the dash, and the sensor has the green wire looped to the blue on the sensor itself, and my installer then connected this to the blue wire on the 4 wire harness to the brain....i looked at the install instructions for this system and it looks like it is supposed to be wired to the green wire on the 4 pin harness.....could that be the reason for the problem??...or does it matter which wire the sensor goes to (the dei insall manual shows the blue wire wired to the "shock sensors" blue and green wires, and the doublegaurds blue and green wired to the green wire.....i guess i'm confused....

please let me know on these two questions if you know...

ok...

1. i tried what you suggested, but still had the alarm icon on the transceiver (the little speaker symbol with waves coming out) it never came off the display the alarm works fine, and i get 1 chirp with arm .........any other suggestions??

2. my shock sensor came (with the alarm) with the green wire coming OUT of the sensor housing looped onto the blue one, so there were only 3 actual wires on the system blue, red and black.....my installer put the black to black, red to red, and blue to blue on the harness and just left the green wire on the harness loose, meaning that the blue and green wire from the SENSOR were both basically connected the the one blue wire from the harness. your saying that i should just cut the looped green from teh blue???
