Should the trunk trigger wire coming from the alarm be hooked to the black wire or the green & black wire in the trunk light switch? I couldn't find the circuit for the trunk light anywhere near the steering column or fuses. If I could find the wire, I would be able to hook the alrm up to the trunk with only a few inches of wiring.  Is there an easier way to hook the trunk trigger wire up?

It's a Green w/Black tracer wire in the driver's kick, it's there, keep looking.
Grab your meter, hook the red lead to a constant 12V source, take ur black lead and hook it up to a GREEN/ black wire in a the driver's kick, open the trunk, it should show 12V...That's the wire u need.

I tested the green w/black wire in the kick panel like you said, but no voltage was present. I tried with others and none of them worked with the trunk light.  Is it possible that the wire is another color?

If nothing else, grab it at the light and run a new wire to the alarm from the light in the trunk. The location and the color is correct according to padawan.

Or try it like this, get the GREEN/ black wire in the kick, and ground the black lead of your meter and place the red lead on the wire, then open the trunk, it should show 12V.
