How can I wire the trunk trigger to the alarm????  There is a trunk light in the dashboard that comes on when the trunk is open.  I know that I have to use I diode on this wire.  But how to connect this to the alarm and using a diode???????????

Thank you in advance

If your alarm doesn't have a trunk trigger wire, you can wire the trunk trigger wire from the car to the door trigger wire on the alarm...
Get (2) 1N4001 1amp diodes...hook a diode to the door trigger wire in the car and a diode to the trunk trigger wire in the car, with the band sides of the diodes facing these wires in the car, twist the two non-band sides of the diodes together and hook this to the door trigger wire on the alarm, done...You can also wire a hood pin trigger wire to the door trigger wire on the alarm as well if you need to, same procedure, just add another diode, band side facing the hood pin trigger wire in the car, other non-band side to door trigger wire on alarm.

Thanks for the reply,

My alarm has a seperate input for trunk trigger (Viper 500 ESP).  I heard or read something somewhere that if the car has a "trunk light" in the dashboard (when the trunk is open this light will come on in the dashboard, many hondas have this light).   I read that you have to put a diode between the trunk trigger and the "dasboard light".   this will prevent trunk falsing.   How can I hook this up?  Is this diagram correct?  If I dont use the diode do I really get falsing?

You could always mention what kind of car you have; that would never hurt.
