the only way to disable the factory security system is to use the key in the driver door.

that sends a neg. pulse through the light green wire come from the door to the security system. sometimes found in trunk along back wall.

another way to disable is to inistall a keyless entry system that would bypass the security every time u unlock it.

yeah i had an alarm in there with keyless but it got broke into and they stole the alarm unit. so i took out the harness and hooked everything back up like it came from factory. when i had it installed the guy said he would disable the factory security. so the only way i can get rid of it is to put a whole new alarm in? theres no shortcut around it for now? i dont have the $$$ for a new alarm at the moment and my door lock is peeled so i cant even use the key. im having to unlock the pass side door with my key before i can open the drivers door. but i forget a lot and have to sit there with this thing goin off.

Just permanently ground the GREEN wire and this will disarm the OEM system permanently. The green wire can be found at the theft module located to the right of the steering column.

go to a GM dealership. they have entire books of schematic diagrams for all the cars.

why not try to gound that wire coming from the door boot?

the weqay i usually find the wire is i remove the boot cover from the door jamb, then probe the wire that changes from a weak positive to negative when the door is unlocked with the key from the drivers door.  It usually is a light green wire there.

then cut the wire and attach a wire to each end u cut and run the wires back through the boot and into the car. ****remember which wire is the key side and alarm side. then try grounding it to see if any ill effects happen. i dont think anything really bad should happen. maybe just the door locks wont work.

or u could find that same wire on the drivers side kick panel inthe pile of wires that go back to the trunk.just remember to test using the method i told u about previously.

good luck

connect the disarm wire from your module to the light green wire- in or from driver door.

When you press Unlock or remote start the OEM alarm will disarm.
