hello. well today I picked up my Compustar 2WFM-A. I told the dealer that I wanted to run some exterior lights off of one of my aux outputs. he told me that the aux outputs were pulsed and that I needed the Compustar Channel Expander to make this happen (converts it to a continuous output for up to a minute). so I purchased the channel expander, but there was no directions/diagrams. Does anybody have any info about the channel expander? I would love any more info on how to set this up. thank you.

Hi Jeff,

do you think they'll give me the info even tho I'm not an authorized dealer (or a dealer at all)?  I went to their headquarters in Anchorage, AK and they wouldnt sell me the alarm without installaton.  but I guess its worth a shot.  I'll try firing off an email to 'em.

Jeff,

You've got mail!  Thank you for your help on this.  Have you ever used the channel expander?

And one more question: are there any outputs on the 2WFM-A that have an onboard relay?

heres an update on the Compustar channel expander.  all you have to do to hook it up is connect the aux 1 output from the alarm to the input on the expander.  then you need to program the alarm with the compustar programming unit (have to go to your dealer).  the expander gives you 7 aditional aux channels and you can program them all for either pulse or latched up to 60 sec.  while you have the programmer hooked up program the rest of your features, its a lot easier than with the remote.  anyway, just thought I'd share for anybody else out there looking to do something similar.
