The APS-996 has 4 auxilliary channels according to the manual.  I want to hook up the system and use the auxilliary channels to raise and lower a convertible top.  I figure I will need some automotive relays and some timers to complete the project.

What I'm wondering is how do you access the auxilliary channels with the remote?  Do you have to program the unit to establish which combination of buttons selects which auxilliary channel?

Thanks!
