Parking lights on bmw 325

I "m installing a aps 685 on a bmw 325. I can't get the parking lites to flash  so as to program the unit. I tried to add the 3 relays for the light flash but still no help. I don't know if this could be rated to the problem but The batteries to the remotes were dead and when I installed news ones. The tiny lite on remote stays on constantly. Also would the unit have to be programed for the keyless entry to work. I'm berginning to think this unit is defective. Any Ideas's

I connected the gray / YELLOW ( for left side) and gray/white (for right side) at the light switch ,to one leg of the 2 wire output of the module for the parking lites. and the other leg to 12 volts constant source. Since that didn't work I tried using the 3 relay light flash circuit , but that didn't work either. I could hear the flasher clicking but no lites.

one problem you could be having (besides the split signals) is the fact that the trigger inside the car is negative.  What I've always done in this situation is to use a relay to beef up the +12V signal to flash both circuits, and run a pair of leads under the hood, tying directly to the +12V side of each park circuit.

used to do this (before neg. light flash outputs) on lots of imports that used negative triggererd park lamps...cheaper and faster than using a relay to change polarity, and removed one more part to fail (the relay constantly clicking).
