i found a little bit of info on this site but i was wondering if i had to put a resistor in line anywhere to get the remote start to activate. i can get it to activate by turning the key to the on position. any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. another question i have on the same vehicle is, just by taking the factory radio out and puting after market stereo in using specified  after market wiring harness is it posible that i shorted out the turning signal switc located under the dashboard? keep in mind no wires were bare or broken in any way, i am an installer of 9 years and i work at a stereo shop so i always check and check again my connections. i also dont know that they were working when the cystomer droped the car off, but this is the first problem i have had since i started doing this 9 years ago so i have a good track record and this has me confused??????

Sounds like you are missing an Ignition wire. Are you powering all three of them?
There should be a Pink, Purple, and Orange that need to be Ignition Powered, that is assuming that this is a Cutlass Supreme.
I don't think the VATS system was until 95, so that shouldn't be a problem.
I don't see how you could've messed up the turn signal switch when you were working on the radio. The switch should be in the steering column, I always had problems with it in my 91 Cutlass Supreme. What is it doing?
