I am hooking up an Prestige APS  996 ON A 2003 Nissan Altima V-6.My question is: do I need the optional multi coil pack adapter for this vehicle?I have tried to access a tach signal from both at the coil and at the ecu ,both of which are picking up a tach signal, but the remote start will only cause the starter to turn over without starting the car. However when I do a diagnostic for the alarm it is still telling me it is recieving a low or no tach signal.I have tried everything! Please help.Thank you

On the 4 cylinder vehicles it is in pin 36, and on the 6 cylinder it is in pin 34. Can also go to one of the ignition coils and use the wire that is NOT red or black. Make sure that the vehicle has reached it's lowest RPM when doing the tach signal learn procedure to ensure a proper tach siganl for the remote starter unit to learn.

Try remote starting the car with the key in the ignition cylinder in the OFF position. You'll be amazed at what happens.
