I am getting ready to install a crimestopper informer security system with auto star.  Anyone have experience with this car and could give a little advice to make it easier would be much appreciated.

I have seen the wire code described above for Subaru in a number of locations . The following wires listed above may or may not be so:
12volts white    +   ignition harness
Starter WHITE/ black    +   ignition harness
Ignition green    +   ignition harness
Accessory yellow    +   ignition harness
In the three Suabru's I have seen the colors "AT" the ignition are all black with variation in color:
12V Constant: BLACK/ white -- ignition harness
Starter wire: BLACK / YELLOW -- ignition harness
Ignition wire: Black -- ignition harness
Accessory wire: BLACK/ blue -- ignition harness
Yet all the literature reads as diabloed mentions.
Now diabloed may be correct, but do not be suprized if you find them to be all black with colors. It would be appreciated if you come back and post what you find.

The wires change colors at a plug about 12-15 inches from the key cylinder.
Easy car. When testing for the parking lights look for the positive orange wire. Use the switch on the top of the steering column since the switch on the side only works when the car is on.
