I am not an installer-this is my first alarm-puting a  Omega K-9 alarm in my daughters 2003 Cavalier. Hooked up the domelight supervision per instructions-does not activate alarm-also hooked doorpin wire on drivers doorpin-passenger side does not activate alarm-where is the common wire. When I disarm and start the car it chirps about five or six times. Can somebody walk me throught this and tell me what mistakes Im making. Thanks.Cant find a phone numer for Omega.

what K9 alarm are you using?  Classic?  Mundial2?  The chriping when starting is the Unauthorized Transmitter Alert...you must have reprogrammed a transmitter, and its warning you that another one has been added.  This will stop in 48 hours.

Does the unit have a "smart trigger" wire?  the classic does, and I'd use it.  It is one wire that does domelight supervision AND door trigger...set it up for neg or pos. with the jumper on the side of the unit.  if u can be clearer about what product you have and the specific problems, I can help more.

I have the classic-I tried the smart trigger but could not get it to work-I did program the remotes thats whats causing the chirps. It was hard to follow directions I figured out the cavalier is negative polarity on dome light. It has a delay on dome light -is that a problem. Hey thanks for your help I was getting pretty stress over this thing.

i have a 98 cavalier and i used the same green wire in from the door pin (-) trigger and domelight supervision.  for the passenger side you have to catch the lt blue wire from the door pin and diode isolate it coming from the alarm, the striped side of the diode will face away from the alarm.

im not familiar with much outside of DEI and BW alarms, but usually more chirps like that means its seeing an improper trigger.  i had an avital 3300 that would chirp once for lock and one more time a few seconds later to report an error.  in addition to that extra chirp, it wouldnt go into programming because one of the criteria is that the one of the door trigger wires must be hooked up and the door must be open.

believe we're confusing what a "smart trigger" is.  the K9 has a single wire on the unit that does both domelight supervision AND door input trigger duties, so it saves from running a PAIR of wires to the same place.  I have installed a ton of K9 product and have NEVER had an issue using it....
