I am currently having trouble with a 2000 durango with factory keyless entry and security from time to time it seems the the factory alarm activates its self and prevents the remote start from working and will also start blowing the trucks horn. I am currently not sending a disarm command from the crimestopper unit (cs-2011rs) because I dont use the factory remote to lock or arm the truck, Should I be doing so and if so I beilieve there should be a single pulse to ground with a 1500 K resistor to the light GREEN/ orange wire in the driver side kick panel but there are more than one light GREEN/ orange can I use any one or should I test for and if so what is the best way to test for the disarm feature.

Thanks

Frank

OEM Alarm Disarm L GREEN/ ORANGE (-) DR. KICK OR CENTRAL TIMER MODULE *
* Central Timer Module (CTM) Located Behind Passenger Dash Right Of Glove Box. Use 1.5k Resister On Disarm.
Good Luck

i had the same truck, do the same thing to me friday.  It honks even with the key.

I needed the disarm wire , there is 1 for factory alarm, and 1 for non alarm.  You need to tap into them no matter what.

They should be behind the kick panel in the clump of wires wraped with electrical tape.
