I am new at installing car alarms, but I have installed almost everything else in my car... I just purchased the Clifford RSX 3.5 Matrix, and I do not have the money to pay someone to install it... I just installed power door locks in my caprice, and in the next  couple of  days, I will install a 3000 watt amp and two 1200 watt 15" subs in my car, and that is the reason I need to install this alarm... All I have is the alarm, with all the wire connections, as it came when I bought it... Is there anything that I need to purchase to install this alarm, with no special extras except for connecting the alarm to the door locks that I just installed... Where do I start?? Please help!!! (Also, as you can see I'm only 17, so please help me!!)

Your good to go with the installation. The 1991 Caprice has nothing special about it that the Clifford alarm doesn't already have in it's packing. The only thing that you may need ( if you want the option to be used ) is the trunk release has to have a relay in it for activation.

you may also want to add a back up battery to the installation. d.e.i. part# 520t. you can probably buy one where you bought your 3.5x. its nice that you have the pager built in with the remote, but if you have no power to the alarm, the pager does you no good. the back up battery will provide the alarm with power to keep it going should a thief disconnect the battery to the car. have fun and good luck with the install!.
do it right the first time....less warranty work=more money!:)

Hey, if I do buy another battery as you say, where would I install it, and how would I hook it up as a backup battery???
