I know I read this somewhere in here, but I can’t seem to find it. I apologize if this has already been answered. I installed a Viper 791XV in my 2003 Ford F150 Harley-Davidson SuperCrew with Factory Keyless Entry. After the install, everything seems to be working fine. But after 45 minutes (Armed), the alarm goes off and my remote shows it to be the door switch. I checked it 3 times and all 3 were times around 45 minutes, give or take a minute or so. I wire the Green Wire (-) door trigger input from the alarm to the drivers door factory BLACK / YELLOW wire (-) and the rest of the doors to the BLACK/ lt blue wire (-) using diodes. I didn’t think I needed to wire anything to the factory keyless entry, so I didn’t. Please help?

The 03 f-150's pulse the door triggers every 30-45 min or so, to get around this problem just use the door trigger in the pass kick(BLACK/ blue if I remember right), and wire a relay in line to activate the door input on the alarm. The pulse from the bcm on the truck wouldn't be strong enough to trigger the relay, but when the door is open it will trigger it to sent a pulse to the alarm.

I thought you just use diodes to isolate it? There is a DEI tech thing for Ford False Door Triggers. and it says to use dioded to isolate it. I don't have my dei password on hand. But my 00 and 03 mustang to the same thing, and the tech piece is called "Ford False door Trigger" so I assume it is for more then just mustangs. I know all I did was put in a couple 1n4004 diodes in. SOmeone I am sure will be able to post it up.

i did a 2003 Mach 1, same thing,,,,there is actually a positve door trigger also in the fords, that is the wire you need to get trouble free operation.  I don't know the colour, but i believe it was right beside the (-) wire in the kick panel.

Use a relay to isolate the door trigger from the alarm. It will work fine, done it lots of times. Good luck!

diodes work as well as long as you use 2 per door trigger wire .tHE DOO RTRIGGER WIRE GETS CUT THE DIODE GOES INLINE WITH THE BAND FACING DOOR ,THEN YOU Take another diode on the door trigger input to the alarm face the band away from the alarm and place that end on the striped end of the diode you already put on the factory wire. Do this for every door trigger and thay=t should work, but th erelay works as well.

If the wires are positive trigger the diodes get reversed!
