Hello, I've got a DEI Your Valet keyless entry . Originally it was just the keyless entry. The remote start was added later and at the time I was told I could use the original keyless entry with the 2 button remote. Well, both my old remotes died and I've had to get a replacement remote.  I've had no problem reprogramming the Lock and Unlock on button 1 but how do you program button 2 to do the remote start. The old remote button 1would lock, unlock. Button 2  held down  would start my truck. After running button 2 would shut it off when held down. I cannot find any directions pertaining to the remote start. The directions for the keyless entry do not say anything about remote starting option. They do say you can use button 2 for the trunk pop but not how to program it....?

I not sure, but do you have two seperate control modules for keyless and remote start? Seems kinda pointless to me.
In one sequence...
Turn key on, hit valet button once, hit it again and hold. Press 1 on the remote. Release valet button. Hit valet button once more, hit it again and hold. Press 2 on the remote. Release valet button. Hit valet button once more, hit it again and hold. Press both buttons on the remote. Thats channel 3.
Start over and repeat for any additional remotes.

I'm not sure about the 2 seperate modules. I know the remote start was an add on to the keyless entry. I'm not sure if there is an additional "momentary(valet) button for the remote start. All I see is the one valet button. I followed the instructions and the light flashes 3 times confirming channel 3(aux). I press channel 2 and the light flashes fast then shutts off, I assume confirming the program of channel 3 or auxillary on button 2. But, it still doesn't start the engine after all is done? That why I was wondering if there is another button I need to press on the remote start side of things. I'm positive there is nothing wrong with the remote start. The other remote worked fine starting the engine by holding down button 2. I need to pull the remote start down and see what model it is. I think its a DEI 561T.
