Hey All,
As you can see from the title...I am a newbie at this.
I will be installing some cheaper type of Keyless entry in my wifes '95 Sentra.
Do all keyless entries come with a "light flash" output??
Is it hard to wire in a '95 Sentra????
Would I need extra relays??
thx in advance

Personally I don't think that car is hard at all, but someone with less experience may think so. Most alarms come with a light flash. But if they don't you can also use a relay or two to make one.

Thx for the info.
I really dont need the alarm, just the keyless entry...
Does lightflash normlly come with just a keyless entry??
Can you recommend a simple "not too expensive" brand/model??
thx

not all of them do, but with a relay you can get them to flash, by using some output on your alarm.

Hey All,

Since I am new at this, I have a few more questions.

After looking at the posts on this forum, i think I am going to get either the 710T or 711T.
It looks like the main difference between the 2 is that  the 711T contains built in relays for the flash, door locks, trunk release and dome light whereas the 710T just continas "outputs" for these.
I understand the difference between the outputs and relays to be current related?? (200mA vs 20A switched?)

Here are my questions:

1) Does a '95 Sentra need relay outputs for locks, light flash and possibly dome light or would the 710T outputs be ok?

2) The 710T only has negative outputs on everything but the locks where the 711T have positive as well.  Does the Sentra use Neg for the dome, flash and trunk?
3) Where would be a good place to buy this particular model??  I got my infor from a plce called http://www.caraudio-caralarms.com   $59 and $79 for the 2 different kits.

thx for all the help...

yes you would need realys for all these if you went with the cheaper model, 200mA is not enough to push actuators or a trunk release.

ok...so it looks like I need the one with the built in relays??  711T??

I assume kits with just outputs replace OEM installed keyless systems??  Just hook into existing relays??

Anyways.... how about a good place to buy this type of equipment...I searched the forums for a lit but did not find one

thx again Daniel
