Today had a customer come back and says that his doorlocks quit working after a week of working fine.(intalled a week ago).  I double checked all the wireing = O.K.   I then checked the resistors for the single wire doorlock 2.7k and 620 = O.K.   checked ground = O.K. checked fuses = O.K.  I then looked at the board on the remote starter unit and it had a burned spot on it. (crimestopper rs-999tw1).

What could be wrong that it fried the doorlock portion on the RS.

The only thing I could find that my installer did not do was tap into the doorwire at the bcm pin 5 junction c4, he WHITE/ dk. green wire.  He did find a door wire in the wireloom that runs to the rear of the car under the drivers sill plate WHITE/ lt. green wire.   would that matter??  It is still a doorlock wire.

have relays been used in that install, if no relays have been used, then that could have burned out the rs unit.

I would check and make sure that the relays are switching to see if the signal is getting to them from the CS piece. If the relays are working with the lock and unlock then the problem is with the conection or resistance. If the relays are not woring you might have a bad unit.
