I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 and about 8 months ago I installed a RS-750LCD Autopage alarm with remote start.  And at the same time I installed a Audiovox AS-GM4 wich is a GM-Pass lock interface Module.  Everything works good and I havent had any problems with the alarm but ever since I have hooked it up the message center on my truck has showed the security and battery light back and forth and they never go off while the truck is running.  When I completely unhook the brain of the alarm it quit doing it but when I hooked it back up it went right back to doing it.  This realy confuses me i hope some one can help me.  One installer told me the AS-GM4 could be hooked up wrong but I have checked it over and over and it looks right.  The truck will start and everything with the remote so it should be right but I dont know can someone more inclined on the subject please help me!!!!!

Sure on many bypass mods there is a range at which they are sensative. The bypass that you have is still within range for the RS to work but the security light shows that the resistor is a bit off so it will show a engine light. The battery light in the car may be for a bad battery. The bypass maybe drawing some current off and that may also be causing the security to come on. Two things to check

1. Is your truck hard to start as if there was a low battery? If not then its more than likely the bypass

2. As stated above when you unhooked the alarm it was not there. So i would try and see if you can get another bypass and replace the one that you have, but more than not i have had them come back months even years from when i replaced them and it will eventually show a security light again.

Thanks for the help.  But I know the battery is find because I thought that at first also so I replaced the factory with a optima yellow top which I bought brand new and I have also checked the alternator which was fine also but it has never been hard to start I think it is something else cause that light to come on.  And I am just completely lost on the Security light because I have seen other trucks with same alarm and the light never came on.  Does anyone else have any ideas.

As far as the security light goes, the main problem installer's have with this problem is the ground out when running wire is not consistent and the module doesn't see a good enough ground fromthe RS unit. Ensure that the ground out when running wire is seeing a SOLID ground fromt he RS.
