what antennas for a DEI matrix rs2?

i dont have the original with the 90 degree plug for the brain, but i do have a normal 3 wire antenna and HF+ DEI antenna.  will these work with the matrix RS2?  or is there a different antenna i need to order?  i was under the impression and 3 wire will work.

Yes it'll work but with limited range. The original is an XHF.

do you know if i order an XHF antenna, can i use the same 3 wire antenna cable?  or should i get a new one of those too?

yes you can get the XHF antenna separately, actually you can get an XHF+ antenna that works great and has an additional sawtooth filter circuit built in... lots of my customers upgrade to it....   you can use the same wiring as well    the HF+ and XHF antennas are interchangable without replacing the cable.....
