I'm working on a 01 Ford Ranger. It has a factory (security) system in it. apparently it needs a special key for it to start. I have installed several remote start systems, all the wiring is correct. But the starter will not turn over unless the factory key is in and on. I'm not sure how to bypass this system. I know it can be done. so any help.

also I need to find the door trigger wire. and locate a place to purchase blue LED lights.

thanks

1. You need a DEI 555u to by pass that PATS system

2. It's the GEM next to the radio (on the left side.)

3. Ebay...or you local audio shop. Be sure to check the voltage on them. Some LED's are 2volts, and some are 5volts... Put a  2 volt led on a 5 volt circuit and you will let the smoke out of that LED

Don't let the smoke out of your equiptment..it doesn't go back in.
