Had "Best Buy" install it. The remote will not lock the doors until the 30 sec dome lite is out. Factory remote can bypass this. The installer call Direct, they didn't help. The 455G was installed..

Need any info to pass onto installer, WHY MUST I WAIT 30 SECONDS BEFORE I CAN LOCK THE DOORS.? with the clifford remote....

you dont have to... i suspect that they did not wire in the domelight wire to the 455G or else you have a bum 455 module... i have the same in my own 03 Envoy ( the 3.5 ) and it works fine...when i lock the dorrs the interior light comes on but the 455G knows to hold back the trigger circuit for about 10seconds or so till the light goes out....

the only problem i foresee is if your domelight is staying on longer than it should which i have seen on a few of these ST6 units...  the interior dome light should stay on for between 5-7 seconds on lock and longer on unlock...the 455 module only holds that circuit back about 10 seconds

BTW It's called the "Content thief-deterrent" system..I can shut the dome lite off with a button on the dash, the clifford still will not lock the doors, it shows a door open on remote, it does arm the system but does not lock the doors...it's a 30 sec delay built-in from the factory

You can also have the installer connect the dome light supervision.  This will override the delay.

I've done several myself and the only time I've experienced this was when a co-worker didn't connect the domelight supervision.

Thanks for all the help....only reason I went to Best Buy was the price was right and it was difficult finding someone to install the Clifford around here...I REALLY didn't feel right going there..Would you believe I gave the installer a $40 tip also!!!

Just came back from "Best Buy", showed installer all the above replies, he tried everything, even called "Directed" and others for help, the 455G is supposed be used in lieu of the dome light supervision ( we are talking about the dome lead on the Clifford Alarm box itself.? ), well three hours later I told him to close it up...and here I am again...Can arm the system but can not lock the doors while the dome lights are on. Still have to wait the 30 seconds before I can arm and lock the doors at the same time!!!

i tend to suspect that he has 2 systems conflicting with each other...Cliffords and GM's....tell him to go thru the DIC (drivers information center) controls on the steering wheel and program off the factory alarm and also the factory lighting delay and perimeter lighting circuit... you do not need remote feedback from the factory system because the Clifford will do that for you (lights, chirps, etc.)    i know with my Envoy ( 03 )  i was getting wierd little things ( like the horn honking when locking doors) until i programmed those features off.... and i dont have to wait at all when i lock the doors.... just lock and walk.....
