i have quite a problem.. i installed a omega crime guard 533I3 into a 2001 chevy silverado ls extended cab. i also installed an omega remote starter using a pldata bypass.. everything has been working fine for a couple weeks.. the other day i go out and my battery is completely dead! it wouldnt even turn over. i jump started it and it started right up. I don't even know if this is alarm related. Every time i turn it off now its dead a couple hours later. Thanks for the help ahead of time. PLEASE HELP ME SOLVE MY RIDDLE!! PS. i am not getting any error messages.. like check engine or security light or anything.. thanks

If this is happening every time you turn your truck off then there are 2 possibilities. First is you or your alarm is leaving some light on, this is unlikely since the bcm shuts the lights down after 20 minutes or so. Second and more likely, your alternator is going bad and unable to fully charge the battery. I would recommend going to your local autoparts store and asking them to load test your alternator.

Thanks for the help I will do that. I agree with your idea. My guess is it has to be something with either the battery or the alternator. Thank you very much for your help! Ill get it checked right away

If the battery and alt check out ok, check for a current draw..
