hopefully you guys can help me here.  My fiance and i just bought a 1992 (i think) sundance on the cheap, it worked great for about... 2 weeks then *bam!* ignition switch won't work.  you can turn it all the way over, and you get nuthing! no spark no whine, no chug, nothing at all... so here is my question, is it possible to hotwire this car with a button to press to start it? i'd like to be able to put the key in, turn it to "on" and press a button and have the car start... hate to think we wasted 250 bucks :(

Thanks in advance

check your ign. switch
most cars have two switches.
one is the key switch and the other is the real ign. switch..
the one in talking about should be mounted on the top of the column under the dash. they only cost a few bucks..all the ones that i have worked on, ran araound $20.00....
you will have to check your local parts store.
the switch on the top of the column will make all of your connections as you turn the key. call and ask your parts store, they should be able to give you some advice.
good luck...

Try powering up all the IGN wires just like a remote starter install and then trigger the starter wire. If this works, then it's your igntion switch.
