I need to help this guy with an older Isuzu Trooper and an autopage alarm His parking lights just started to stey on all the time so i just disconnected the brain for him real quick so his battery doesnt die but  he asked me to fix it for him over the weekend. Could the plug just have been loose or maybe a short in the wire? Where should I look first and what would cause thhappen all of a sudden

Thanks

Scott

Try to disconnect the parking light output from the RS and see if this persists. If it does, then it's not the RS.

Sounds like the internal relay for the CPU is shot.

The problem is likely due to carbon build up on the parking light relay's contacts. They tend to stick closed after a number of years. Try replacing the realy in the module either by desoldering it off the board and installing a new one or wiring an outboard relay controlled by a wire soldered onto the module's circuit board. Don't try cleaning the old relay as this is only a temporary fix at best.
