I've tried to search, but this issue has been confusing me a bit.

I have a relay connected as in the Normally closed diagram, the diode is in place.

Pin 85 is connected to my armed while negative. Also connected to armed while negative are two Varad Led's (self contained module) and one trigger for a window roll up.

Now my issue: When the ignition turns On, my leds and windows roll up. When my ignition turns off, they turn off.

I cut the pin 85 wire from my start kill relay and found that it was showing (-) when ignition turned on, and N/C when ignition off. Is this normal??? What wiring issue could be off here on the relay?? Will i have to diode isolate my triggers that are connecting to my armed while neg wire (everything works fine if the pin85 start kill wire is not connected to the alarm)

Thanks

Shane.

This is a generic pager lcd - KCJS / compustart copy.

I'm doing my testing without having the starter kill trigger connected to the alarm and it shows continuity between ground and pin 85 when ign turns on.

Normal??

Possibly not enough current on the output wire?

add a diode onto #85 of your relay, with the band side towards the alarm. make sure nothing else is connected to #85 other than the diode itself. then you can connect your varad stuff, the negative armed output of your alarm, and your windows modules to the band side of the diode. should solve your problem.
oh, and to answer your question....yes, this is normal.
good luck!
